In a gun and knife attack at a child care center in northeastern Thailand, a former police officer killed at least 37 people, most of whom were children.
According to police, the gunman the gunman then killed him self and his family after a police chase following the attack. Panya Kamrab, 34 year old, was a police officer who was suspended for drug use in January and hen dismissed in June.
It is unclear what prompted the attack, but it is believed that the unit was expelled from the unit in Nong Bua Lamphu province out of rage.
